"What is an authorization code?" Many of our web hosting and domain name registration users ask us this question, a transfer authorization code is required when you are trying to transfer your domain name from one registrar to another. This is for any domain name with a .com, .net, .org, .biz, .us, .info, .name, and .cn extension. Your transfer authorization code is created at the time of registration and can be obtained from the current registrar of the domain name.
