Two Years In Prison For Texting

Drivers in the UK can now be sentenced to a maximum of two years in prison for text messaging while driving a vehicle. Currently the crime of text messaging while driving is punishable by £2,500 in fines and/or community orders. It is important to note that the most common offense is punishable by £60 in fines and three points against your driving record.
The title of this page is somewhat misleading, you will not be fined for just using a cellular phone while driving. Rather the law prohibits the use of many technological gadgets while driving, such as GPS systems and MP3 players. Unfortunately iPowerWeb cannot help you if you are in trouble with the law, although we are sure that these laws set in the UK will undoubtedly make streets safer and decrease the amount of automobile accidents in the streets of the United Kingdom.
