Happy Birthday Tomoji Tanabe
Today is the birthday of the world's oldest man, Tomoji Tanabe. Tanabe lives in Miyazaki, Japan is celebrating his 112th birthday. Japan currently has the largest population of people over one hundred years old. It is believed that there are over 30,000 Japanese aged at least 100. Tomoji Tanabe celebrated his birthday with a breakfast of rice, miso soup and seaweed. Tanabe received a certificate by the Guinness Book of World Records in June and is believed to be the world's oldest man since January. Tanabe has attributed his longevity to avoiding alcohol.
