The Strength of Google
As we continue to hear about the talks between Microsoft and Yahoo regarding a potential buyout by Microsoft, we must consider one thing. Microsoft, the same Microsoft that is one of the world's largest companies along with Yahoo! an Internet pioneer - may become one in an effort to attack Google. Google is younger than both Microsoft and Yahoo, although the company is growing at an impressive rate and it has planted itself as the world's most popular search engine (in terms of search queries). If the deal between Yahoo and Microsoft doesn't even happen it is still a great sign for Google, two of its biggest competitors have realized that they just can't compete with Google directly and other avenues have to be considered. It will be interesting to see how everything turns out.
