Domain Name Redemption Period

Hopefully you never have to worry about your domain name going into the redemption period and generally if you are an iPowerWeb customer this should not be an issue. If you registered your domain name with us when you first purchased your hosting account, we will automatically renew your domain name as long as you keep your web hosting plan, therefore you will never have to worry about the redemption period. Some of you may be asking what is the redemption period? Well, the redemption period is a status that a domain name can be set to. A domain name is set to the redemption period status following the registrar-hold status. Once the domain name is in the redemption period, it will cost a lot more to reinstate (renew) the domain name. This is not because iPowerWeb wants to charge you more, but it is a fee that we incur when we work to reinstate the domain name. Generally all companies which register domain names will charge you an additional fee in order to bring your domain name out of the redemption period and this is not because they are trying to take money out of the pockets of its users, rather it is a standard fee that all registrars incur when they want to take a domain name out of the redemption period. It is not fun to have your domain name in redemption period especially if you use or need the name. Your web site will not load properly if the domain name is in the redemption period so always make sure that your domain names are in good standing and if your domain name is part of a web hosting account with iPowerWeb, we will take care of the work for you - just make sure to always renew your account(s).

Jan Grzebski, a Polish man who was in a coma since being hit by a train in 1988 has woken up to a whole new world.
